Here's our furniture in various settings
Areas were divided using interior architecture in the form of zioxi BookWorm and BookHive, keeping the area open but allowing multipurpose uses.
The vision for the school was to create classroom spaces that were flexible, the Learning Resource Centre which would become the ‘heart’ of the school and also to maximise storage space wherever possible. The classroom desks and chairs needed to be easily rearranged by the students.
With it’s granite counters, sleek white tables and chrome-framed chairs, the multi-coloured skylight communal dining area looks and feels nothing like a school. And that’s the point – the beautifully designed spaces and high quality furniture makes both students and staff feel respected and valued.
Recommended to the British School of Brussels from the International School of Dusseldorf, Zioxi designed the library refurbishment.
A computer suite which could house a number of large 27inch iMacs with a space in the centre for flexible, yet collaborative learning, that was the challenge.
The vision for the school was to create a bright and engaging learning environment which would become an important space for not only the pupils at the school, but also for the wider community. A CubeWall system was designed to provide a colourful landscape of storage cubes around the perimeter of the room.
To transform an unused storage area into a brand new staff ‘chill out’ space that would inspire, enthuse reinvigorate.
Zioxi worked with 11.04 to design and manufacture the specialised marble reception desk. Other areas fitted out by Zioxi were the training rooms and pod offices.
The brief was to create learning areas that were fun and exciting which the children would want to use. Zioxi worked closely with Denbigh Primary to develop a furniture proposal which met all of the School’s needs. The Learning Resource Centre space which has recently been renamed as ‘The Hive’ has a large curvy Bookworm shelving unit dividing the space in two.
The aim of the new library and resource centre was to combine the traditional facility of books on shelves, new IT equipment for online research and spaces for the students to sit and socialise during break times.
The Guinness and Baileys rooms house IT training equipment within custom conference tables in black ash and cherry.
Duston Eldean Primary School asked Zioxi to design an open plan learning space within their large LRC. The brief for the space was to create an area which was flexible and which included differing types of furniture. The school was keen to let the children choose how and where they would like to work.
The school wanted a clean modern look and Zioxi products were the solution. Designs included t41 tables, reading nooks and TeacherWalls in all the classrooms.
A bright modern breakout space that needed to be multi functional and flexible, allowing for a range of ways of working, including collaborative groups and 1:1 learning.
Exeter wanted to provide the best possible learning environment for its students in Sport and Health Sciences. zioxi installed 100 M1 desks with integrated IT hardware to deliver a high-performing, multi-purpose IT suite. With the IT concealed, the room can be used as a standard lecture theatre or training rooms.
Working alongside WW Martin and Folkestone Academy, Zioxi provided an imaginative and exciting furniture solution for the whole school. Zioxi developed an impressive bespoke fixed storage solution to incorporate the curved walls whilst maximising space for storage.
Agile, versatile and comfortable spaces where teachers can change the layout according to their needs – that was Ipsley Middle School’s vision.
Jesmond Gardens Primary School has nine class bases – each with mobile, agile furniture so the layout can be easily changed. The furniture in each class base is the same but they all look and feel completely different.
Jesmond Gardens Primary School in Hartlepool wanted to create a new library space in the central area of the school. The brief was to transform the space from a soft seating area to a fun and practical walk-through library.
Working closely with ULT, Nicholas Hare and Willmott Dixon; zioxi developed the furniture solution for the whole academy, to create a learning environment ranging from Reception through to Sixth Form.
To transform the dead areas in the university into usable social spaces to engage and facilitate student learning.

Zioxi work with Leeds Trinity University to design and install furniture to house specialist AV equipment in the University’s new Andrew Keen Learning Centre Extension.
The Wildcat Helicopter training building includes flight simulation, 8 electronic classrooms, workshops and a collection of briefing rooms. Zioxi designed the interior to a very demanding brief.

Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine needed their new Active Learning Lab to integrate IT and audio visual, Zioxi had the answer.
In association with Foster & Partners Architects, Zioxi designed and manufactured a family of products specifically for this unique building.
An inspirational showcase classroom in the heart of London. The Microsoft Showcase Classroom is an innovative environment for teachers, school leaders and students to explore new technologies in a classic Technology Hub.
The School of the Built Environment. Zioxi created Architectural Student Desking. A freestanding multi functional unit supported on a pedestal base with a counterbalance. The desks are designed to be used as computer workstations, layout desks and display areas.
To create a multi-functional, multi-media Technology Hub, where the students could use a variety of mobile devices as well as fixed computers.
Zioxi worked with Parkstone Grammar School to create an incredible Sixth Form resource area and Media Centre
Southwark Council has three One Stop Shops in its borough. The drop-in centres provide advice, information and help for anyone living, working or visiting Southwark. As unique venues the furniture needed to be designed for the specific requirements of the centres and their varying architecture.
The library now provides a brand new and exciting learning space for the whole school community after Zioxi developed a furniture proposal which involved removing many of the dividing walls and opening up the entire space.
The brief was to create a space that was bright and welcoming with lots of places for the students to work. To make the best use of space, bespoke benching was made around the pillars and along the edges for individual working. In the collaborative working area interlocking tables make the area really flexible, allowing different table configurations and layouts.
This unique school was designed to incorporate curves instead of straight lines.The brief was to create furniture that could be used in original and innovative ways by teachers.
To completely revamp a large IT room drawing inspiration from innovative technical spaces such as the Google office headquarters.
Zioxi designed new classroom and breakout spaces for Simon De Senlis Primary. Creating a number of new products to exactly match the brief.
To create a modern space with the ‘wow’ factor to really form a focal point for the school that was both exciting for the girls, but also practical from a teaching perspective.

St Teresa’s Primary School visited the Microsoft Showcase space in London, the School came back inspired and full of ideas on what they would like to achieve in their own high tech spaces. Being multi-functional, adaptable and engaging were the key points to making these spaces work.
The Barn Pub in Tunbridge Wells have given their customers an added bonus with a zioxi Smartphone locker. This allows customers to charge their phones while in the pub, ensuring they don’t have to worry about low batteries.
