  • St Malachy’s College, Belfast – Digital & Esports Gaming Hub

Working in partnership with Creative Hut, Zioxi provided furniture for an exciting project at St Malachy’s College, a catholic grammar school in Belfast.

Overview

St Malachy’s College are passionate about new and future technologies. They decided to build a brand Esports to be used by college students as part of the outreach for the North Belfast Area Learning Community which is made up of 11 post primary schools and Belfast Metro College. The aim is to use the space to implement the curriculum that will better meet the needs of the pupils. Implementation of the latest technology, and furniture, working alongside STEAM specialists CreativeHut, St Malachy’s are now
equipped with a ‘WOW’ factor environment perfect for exploring the esports curriculum, learning, and developing key skills of the future.

Zioxi furnished the eSports lab with M1 Circular Computer Tables. These innovative desks allow the user to simply push down and the screen, keyboard and mouse rise out of the desk to a working position. Perfect if you want an IT computer workstation and sometimes you don’t. This means the space is multi-functional and can be used by other subject areas. To complete the space, Zioxi installed a large TeacherWall to fill the space at the end of the classroom. The TeacherWall neatly houses all the AV equipment, whilst also providing a Teacher desk, sliding drywipe whiteboards and endless cupboard storage for IT equipment & resources.

Esports is a rising industry and an area that Zioxi are very excited to be part of.
