Launch of the New USB-C Rechargeable powerHub Tower

Amongst the many new products announced by Zioxi at the recent BETT show in London, was the brand new USB-C Rechargeable powerHub Tower. This is the 5th generation of an innovative and patented solution. The newly enhanced design for the powerhub Tower will have 8 USB-C ports all capable of charging at 60 Watts per port, enough to charge laptops at a good rate and ample for tablets, smartphones and robotics. These hubs will be incorporated into the existing range of powerHubs, which include options to add mains power sockets.

Impressive Battery Lifespan

All hubs will continue to use the Zioxi design of Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries which have distinct advantages over Lithium-ion batteries. The chemical stability of the Zioxi batteries means that they are even safer and will take an impressive 2,500 charge cycles. The new USB C hubs will have 2 capacities. 600Wh and 1200Wh. The 600Wh capacity hub will fully recharge approximately 10 x laptops. The hubs will also have LED backlights behind the top vent.

Recharging the powerHub Tower

To recharge the hub simply plug it into a mains power socket. Recharging takes 2 – 3 hours and using the Zioxi onView app, you can choose when recharging occurs. The newly launched Energy Optimiser allows any organization with a smart meter to automatically recharge the powerHub when the electricity prices are the lowest. The onView app will also allow users to name the powerHubs with individual asset tags, and set a reminder email to be sent when the powerHub need recharging. 

The overarching concept of the rechargeable powerHubs is to negate the need for floor sockets and allow a space to become truly flexible. The powerHub Towers integrate perfectly with Zioxi t41 Agile Student Tables as well as our range of height adjustable Huddle Tables. With various colour options to choose from for the top, the powerHub range seamlessly integrates into any modern office or teaching environment.
