The Overarching Principles
There were three overarching design principles that we had in mind when we started designing the first Zioxi charging trolleys 15 years ago. The first was that we wanted to design something that looked good in a classroom. Something that was as much furniture as it was equipment and that would just fit right in.
The second principle was that, wherever possible, we wanted to keep the design as simple and reliable as possible.
The third principle was to create a trolley that supported teachers, students and the IT in as many ways as possible and ensure their safety. So even our earliest trolleys had the following;
- A flat and unencumbered work surface at an ergonomic work surface height that teachers can use and even present from. Hard wearing and easy to clean.
- Charging cables are neatly organized and retained with our patented one-click cable ports.
- No mains electrical sockets outside of the locked electrical compartment. We wanted to keep students as safe as possible.
- The sustainably sourced and certified wooden panels support wireless updates of devices inside.
- The doors fold back (270 degrees) so that access to the trolley is as easy as possible in small classrooms. They are gently held in place by discreet magnets.
- Easy glide castors allow the teacher to move the trolley anywhere and then lock into position, rock solid.
And then, over the years we have added options which have proved popular with many customers. We started with a simple key lock on the door. Then we added an option of a digital code lock and even an RFID ( Radio-Frequency Identification) lock. As the technology marched on and USB C became mandated as the standard charging method by most countries, we have added a full range of powerful USB C charging options.
Feature 1️⃣ – Keeping it Cool!
Ever wondered how Zioxi Charging Trolleys stay cool without the need for noisy electric fans? The secret is convection cooling! Nature dictates that hot air rises, and so we designed our trolleys with a series of vents. By utilizing natural airflow, heat rises and escapes the trolley, maintaining a safe temperature for your devices – quietly and efficiently. The result is passive cooling. Silent, unbreakable and free.
Feature 2️⃣ – Prevent Tangles with Zioxi’s Patented Cable Port Design
One of the most frustrating issues when managing multiple devices is dealing with tangled charging cables – especially in a busy learning or office environment. That’s where Zioxi’s patented oneClick cable management ports steps in to save the day! With Zioxi’s cable port design, charging trolleys become more than just storage – they’re a smooth, organized, and hassle-free experience for everyone involved!
Feature 3️⃣ – No Accessible Plug Sockets!
By keeping plug sockets enclosed, we ensure that power is used exclusively for charging devices, avoiding the risk of overloaded circuits or unintended use. No trailing cables, no accidental unplugging – just a safe, efficient way to keep your laptops and tablets ready for learning.
Feature 4️⃣ – Designed in the UK, supporting Europe
