As the UK’s public sector continues to embrace digital transformation, Zioxi is proud to have played a key role in helping the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) modernise its courtroom operations.
In a move towards fully digital working environments, the CPS has begun rolling out Digital Jury Bundles, replacing paper-based case files with secure, tablet-based access to evidence and legal documentation. This initiative is designed to increase efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and improve the overall courtroom experience for legal professionals, jurors, and administrators alike.
To support this digital shift, Zioxi was commissioned to design and supply bespoke charging trolleys tailored specifically for courtroom use. These trolleys allow secure storage and simultaneous charging of multiple tablets, ensuring that devices are always ready for use during trials and hearings.

Designed for the Demands of Justice
The courtroom environment presents a unique set of challenges: security, mobility, discretion, and efficiency are all critical. Our team worked closely with CPS stakeholders to create a custom solution that would integrate seamlessly into courtroom operations while addressing key practical and technical needs.
Enabling Digital Transformation in the Justice Sector
This collaboration aligns with broader changes happening across the UK’s justice system. As highlighted in a recent UKAuthority article, the CPS is investing heavily in technology to streamline case handling and improve courtroom efficiency.
Our involvement reflects a growing recognition of the importance of reliable device management infrastructure in delivering these digital outcomes. Similar innovations are also being adopted across the police and wider criminal justice sectors, where secure charging and storage solutions are becoming essential tools in supporting mobile working and evidence access.
Looking Ahead
At Zioxi, we believe that smart furniture and charging infrastructure play a vital role in enabling effective digital transformation. We’re proud to support the CPS on this journey, and we look forward to continuing our work with public sector organisations across the UK to build environments that are ready for the future of digital working.
